Below are estimates of how much you could expect to earn as an airline pilot salary per month.
A first officer at a regional airline just starting out can expect to earn from $6,000 to $8,000 per month (before taxes) during their first couple of years.
A captain at a regional airline can earn roughly $11,000 to $15,000 per month (before taxes).
Major airline pilots earn substantially more. First officers at major airlines earn around $10,000 to $18,000 per month, while captains can easily earn over $20,000 per month during their first year as a captain.
