Collin Neu

FOUNDER, CHIEF FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII)

Collin earned his Private Pilot’s License in 2006 and spent over 13 years flying and instructing in the B-52. He instructed new B-52 crew members and instructed at the United States Air Force Weapons School teaching advanced tactics to experienced B-52 instructors. He amassed over 2,000 hours flying in the B-52, including over 800 hours instructing.

Jon-Mical Hodge

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII)

Jon-Mical earned his pilot certificates and ratings from Louisiana Tech University. He is also an aircraft mechanic in the US Air Force at Barksdale AFB and is pursuing a career as a pilot in the Air Force.

Jerrica Bennett

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII/MEI)

Jerrica received her pilot training from ATP Flight School at locations in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Arlington, Texas, completing the Airline Career Pilot Program in March 2024. She is a Monroe native and graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2016. She worked in public relations and digital marketing for 8 years before taking the leap to make a career out of her true passion— airplanes.

Ryan McCoy

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII)

Ryan hails from Denham Springs, Louisiana and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aviation from Louisiana Tech University. He received his pilot certificates and ratings from LA Tech. He plans to go into corporate aviation once he has completed his time requirements. Ryan enjoys seeing his students achieve their flying goals. His favorite part of instructing is when his student completes their initial solo.

Brandon Wendrock

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII)

Brandon is a CFI and CFII from Bossier City. He graduated from Liberty University with a degree in professional aviation. Brandon has a passion for flying and helping others become safe and proficient pilots.

Patrick Mason

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII/MEI/ATP)

Patrick was born and raised in Shreveport. He received his bachelor’s degree in professional aviation from Louisiana Tech University and is a commissioned officer in the Air Force. He has over 3,700 flight hours holds endorsements for high performance, high altitude, complex, tailwheel, aerotow, aerotow-high performance and night vision goggle. He has over 1,000 hours of instruction time and is currently stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base. Patrick has a passion for aviation and is proud to call Shreveport home.

Matt Shields

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII)

Matt is a CFI and CFII who recently relocated to the Shreveport area with the Air Force. He is originally from California and graduated from the Air Force Academy. Matt was a B-1 Evaluator, Weapon Systems Officer for over 10 years prior to becoming a flight instructor. Matt is also certified in aircraft mishap investigations. Matt and his wife Ashley live in Shreveport with their three children. Matt has never met a stranger and enjoys helping students achieve their goals.

Chandler Doss

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI/CFII)

Chandler is originally from Ozark, Missouri. He graduated from Ozarks Technical Community College with his associate’s degree in aviation flight technology. He is also a graduate from Missouri State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2022. Chandler looks forward to teaching and helping student reach their aviation goals.

Isaiah Cates

DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE

Isaiah is an A&P graduate from Southern University at Shreveport Louisiana (SUSLA). He is the director and co-owner of Neu Aviation Maintenance. Not only does he work as an A&P, but he is currently a private pilot working to obtain his instrument rating. Isaiah is from Stonewall, LA and is proud to call Louisiana home. He works tirelessly to keep the flight school planes in great shape as well as service other planes located at Shreveport Downtown Airport.

Peyton McEntyre

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE APPRENTICE

Peyton is a lifelong resident of Shreveport-Bossier and graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in 2022. Peyton has always been interested in aviation. He decided to pursue a career in this field after a discovery flight with Neu Aviation. Peyton is currently enrolled in the A&P Maintenance program at SUSLA and will complete his degree and certification is 2026.

Payton Ayo

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Payton is born and raised in Bossier City. She graduated from Airline High School and went to Louisiana Tech, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 2023. She has her Private Pilot license and is currently working towards her instrument rating. Her goal is to get her commercial license and continue her career in aviation. Payton helps with all student scheduling, events and marketing. She also loves coffee and her dog Mabel.

Molly Matthews

GENERAL MANAGER

Molly is an Air Force veteran and has worked in management for over 15 years. She co-founded Neu Aviation with Collin and loves helping to connect people with their passion and pursue their dreams. She has lived in the Shreveport-Bossier area for 10 years.
